Winter Musical Extravaganza and Rock Choir events raise whopping £10,500!

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th NovemberLast weekend we kicked off the Christmas celebrations early with two brilliant fundraising evenings held back to back at the Hilton Brighton Metropole. Huge thanks go out to all of you that came along to support us.The ‘Winter Musical Extravaganza’ on Saturday night featured live entertainment from our talented Starr Trust Singers directed by Sharon Starr & Lea Hyde. The cast wore dazzling costumes and sang Motown and music legends that brought everyone onto the dance floor. The show was followed by a delicious sit down festive dinner and a late night disco in the lovely Viscount Suite, donated by the Hilton. The bespoke WINTER letters, donated by Zoe from ‘Just Occasionally’ looked stunning and created a truly magical atmosphere.Sunday night saw the talented singers from across Sussex come together with their friends and families for their ever popular Sussex Rock Choir Ball. The choir members come from all over East and West Sussex and pulled out all the stops to make the evening a huge success, even singing a ‘Thank You’ song back to the cast.Our Press Manager Nicole says “we’re incredibly grateful to everyone that came and supported us over the weekend. Our legendary Starr Trust singers entertained over 300 people and we raised over £10,000 which is an incredible achievement. We couldn’t have managed this without our sponsor Seico Mortgages, the brilliant organisation of Rosie and Tracey from our Events Team, all the local businesses that donated fantastic prizes for our raffles, and the amazing auction lots that included a weekend trip to Paris from COGO Travel.”
