Sussex Businesses Raise Over £7000 At Starr Trust Golf Day 2023!

The charity Golf Day was held on 14th September 2023 at the prestigious Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate and raised an incredible £7259 to help young people in Sussex.

22 teams (88 golfers) from Sussex businesses turned out to enjoy a fantastic day out to help raise funds for the Starr Trust’s 12th Annual Golf Day!

The winning team on the day was Ryan Maidment and friends, 2nd Place was Charlie Humphries and the Pavilion Heating Team and coming in 3rd place was the Travers Beaton and ITDS Team. Winning individual on the day was Will Beer from the Servo Private Wealth team with an impressive 92 points. Other winners included Ian Poysden, who won Nearest the Pin and Tom Watson with Longest Drive.

Starr Trust Ambassador Jason Burrill presented trophies to the winners, before players enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner served on the sunny terrace overlooking the Championship waterfall course.

Fundraising Manager, Tracey Starr said: “What a lovely bunch of people we were lucky enough to spend a fun afternoon with for another fully sold out Golf Day this year! We had some regular teams taking part as well as some new business supporters joining us, all of whom helped make the day a great success with a fantastic amount raised to help some of the young people who need our support. Huge thanks to all teams participating and we hope to see you again next year!”
