Rat Pack at China Garden raises £2130

The Starr Trust’s dinner at China Garden restaurant with live Rat Pack entertainers Joe Dellow and Dave Williams, plus auction, was a runaway success. The event was sold out weeks before taking place on March 5th, with a full house of 110 guests enjoying fabulous food and fantastic live entertainment by the two crooners. Over £2000 was raised to help young people in Sussex and guests took home some amazing prizes donated by local businesses.Fundraising Manager Tracey Narvaez said about the event, “We are so grateful to the performers who gave their time and talent to us, and with the popular China Garden added to the mix, the evening was a sure recipe for success.”Winners of the auction bagged themselves;

• Two tickets to see the award winning Jazz singer Claire Martin to include lunch at Stanmer House
• Overnight stay in Luxury Double room at My Hotel including breakfast
• Two tickets for John Barrowman at The Dome
• Spa day for two including lunch at Ashdown Park Hotel
• Two Tickets for Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular at the Theatre Royal

Raffle prizes included a 4-course meal for two at Côte restaurant, a free cut and blowdry at Headmasters Salon, Glamlife Brighton scarf and necklace, GB1 Grand Hotel £40 voucher, Ten Green Bottles wine and nibbles for two, and a meal for four at The China Garden.Bungard Funeral Directors were the sponsors of the event and have served Brighton and Hove for over 100 years.
