Quiz Night Raises Nearly £1800

The Starr Trust’s annual Quiz Night raised £1797.21 to help local young people. A special mention goes to Jeff Henley who very kindly donated his team’s winnings back to the Starr Trust!Trish from the Trust says “This was our seventh quiz event and each year it has been more profitable and more fun. With 103 guests and so much support from our fabulous volunteers it was a huge success raising a massive profit of £1797.21! It was so lovely to see so many Starr Trust supporters old and new, and have Hannah, one of our champions, and her Mum Claire there to not only help but they baked 100 cakes for us to sell (they were delicious and all got sold!). Every year Kevin has donated his time to run the quiz for us with the lovely Maggie.The winning team were gracious enough to donate their prize money back to us so a huge thankyou and congratulations to Jeff Henley and his team. Last but not least thankyou to Tesco Church Road for supporting us with a voucher for all our snacks. Can’t wait for quiz 2016!”
