Our Golf Day on May 18th raised £4052 for local youngsters!

25th May 2016Our annual Golf Day, now in its fifth year, was once again a huge success thanks to the lovely golfers who took part and our sponsors, Beales of Worthing and Collins and Hayes the upholsterers.52 players from local businesses competed in teams of 4 at the prestigious Singing Hills Golf Club in Albourne. The beautiful 18-hole course was specially designed for our event and the attentive staff provided by Singing Hills plus the beautiful surroundings, really helped the event to go with a swing! There was even a chance to win a fabulous “Kia Soul Caribbean” brand new car worth £25K from Tates of Pycombe, which was sponsored by local insurance broker Bishop Calway. Sadly none of the players managed to get a hole-in-one on hole 9!Various prizes were given out to the players but the winning team was David Crosby’s, with solicitors from Crosby & Woods in Hove. Congratulations to David! All in all it was a fantastic day out: an opportunity for local businesses to network, relax and enjoy some great golf whilst helping young people fulfil their potential. It doesn’t get much better than that. Finally we would like to say a huge thank you to all of the players, our sponsors, the Singing Hills Golf Club, those businesses that didn’t play but sponsored holes, those that bought auction and raffle tickets and those who donated prizes. You all helped us raise an incredible £4052!
