Golf Day A Resounding Success

Our annual Golf Day, organised by Kevin Colburn of DnK Hairdressing and our Trust Team, and sponsored by Goldwell and PP Properties, was held this year at East Brighton Golf Course on a very sunny Wednesday.Each year this event has grown and we were very happy to have 11 teams this year. The event was made even more successful by many local businesses sponsoring holes.The day was won by the Packham Team with 134 Stableford points. Jamie Pontin also won longest drive, individual prize and 1st place. Their other team member Dave Daly won the PP Properties putting competition. Nearest the pin was won by Den Grice, so they really swept the board!

Our winners, Team PackhamTeam UHY Hacker Young Ray Charmak won second place and Paul Newman of Spencer and Leigh took third place.We shall not mention our booby prize and red hot chilli prize for worst player on the 13! You all know who you are!

We raised an incredible £3279, which is a thousand pounds more than last year. A huge thanks to all our players who dug deep in their pockets during the day, and to Kevin who worked so hard during the year to help gather players and sponsors.A massive thank you to James at East Brighton for allowing us to hijack his golf course and his team who took over running of the event and counting the score cards. We would like to say a special thank you to Peter Baker, Allen Morgan and John Anton for helping throughout the day, and to Adrian Milligan from the pro-shop for his support with donating the simulator and for allowing Dan to organise our putting competition.

Last mention for the superb food that came out of the kitchen, so thanks Steve and his kitchen team.
