Businesses Support the Starr Trust this Summer

We have been very fortunate to have had so much support from local businesses recently.Drakes Hotel in Brighton and Bungards Funeral Directors have chosen us as their charity of the year. Richard Whittle, Managing Director of Bungards says “We are very much looking forward to supporting the Starr Trust over the next twelve months. The Starr Trust is an excellent choice for this year’s charity of the year because they are a local charity that helps local children to fulfil their ambitions and dreams. Even a little support can make a big difference and we hope that other small businesses will help support their local charities such as the Starr Trust. Every little bit helps.”Brighton Hilton Metropole made a huge donation of £750.

It was so successful that they extended it for a further 4 days! We will reveal how much was raised in our next newsletter.Lloyds Bank, Church Road, Hove are supporting the Starr Trust until August when they are sponsoring our Tea Party. So far they have raised a whopping £300!Film-House in Shoreham made us a fantastic new promotional film featuring our champion Ira Perrier. (Read more about this here).Shops in George Street and Blatchington Road, Hove held a Spot The Oddity competition for their customers to take part in. Graham Cove from the Starr Trust said “The event was a fantastic success with shops and participants and helped let local people know about the Star Trust”.The new Waitrose store in Hove chose the Starr Trust as one of its benefitting charities this June. Shoppers were given a token to place in a box of the good cause they’d most like to support, as result we raised over £3000.Our logo has been gracing the streets of Brighton on the side of Streamline taxi’s charity car.The Big Screen chose us once again as their charity down at Brighton beach, and Bird Studios shook our collection tins along with their bodies when they raised money there at their Kid’s Clubs.Hove pubs The Exchange and The Three Graces sold raffle tickets at £1 for the chance to win trays of meat donated by Malpass Markets.
