Asda Hollingbury donates £50 to the Starr Trust

Darren Evans, Store Manager at Asda Brighton Hollingbury, presented the Trust with a cheque for £50 through their “Chosen by you, Given by us” scheme. The scheme, which is part of their Community Life initiative, gives customers the chance to nominate and vote for local non-profit organisations.How it works: three named charities have a display above three separate boxes. When each customer passes through the checkouts, they are given a green ASDA token. This is then dropped into a box of the charity of their choice. At the end of each month, all the tokens, and any cash that’s dropped into the boxes, is counted and donated.So a big thank you to all ASDA’s customers for their generous contributions; this money means that here at the Starr Trust we will be able to continue our vital work in helping children smile.
