A hole lot of money in one day raised at Starr Trust Golf Event!

On 6^th June 2024 Sussex businesses turned out to play in the Starr Trust’s 13^th Annual Golf Day at the World Class Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate which raised over £7000 to help young people in Sussex.

23 teams (92 golfers) took part, with the winning team on the day being Pavilion Heating, 2nd Place was taken by IT Document Solutions and 3rd place was secured by Zachary Starr and friends. Winning individual on the day was Glen Gander of Zachary Starr’s team. Other winners included Tom Humphries of Pavilion Heating, who won Nearest the Pin and Neil Conley of Servo Private Wealth with Longest Drive.

Players received goodie bags kindly sponsored by Webtrends Optimize and Gardner and Scardifield. After the tournament, players gave generously to a raffle and silent auction, before enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner served on the sunny terrace overlooking the Championship waterfall course.

Mike Pay of EMC who has been sponsoring the annual event for a number of years, spoke on the day to guests saying “Yet again, another successful event, well done to the Starr Trust!”

As always, the Sussex business community came together in support of the Starr Trust, and to enjoy a challenging round of golf. It has been a pleasure getting to learn more about the success stories of the beneficiaries, and the difference the charities help can make to young people’s lives.”
